If you’re a leader in today’s church you know everything’s changing and changing fast. This change has been accelerated by Covid-19.

Change is so rapid and unpredictable that most leaders are focused on the present ministry moment hoping to stay afloat while also having a missional impact in the here and now.

You are invited to monthly “Church Now” Conversations focused on the ministry moment. These Zoom gatherings are scheduled for every second Thursday from June through December, 2020 (excluding July) beginning at 11 a.m. (ET). Presenters will be Christian thinkers and leaders like Ed Stetzer, Kara Powell, Tod Bolsinger, Lisa Sharon Harper and Richard Mouw who will share keen insights into what they are observing and anticipating, so we can respond thoughtfully in our own contexts.

Richard MouwThurs, September 10 11am (ET)

Richard J. Mouw is professor of Faith and Public Life at Fuller Theological Seminary, where he also served as president from 1993 to 2013. Before coming to Fuller in 1985, he served for 17 years as professor of philosophy at Calvin College.  He is the author of 19 books. In 2007, Mouw's passion is reflecting thoughtful about fresh avenues for Christian engagement with contemporary culture. He and his wife, Phyllis, have a married son and two grandsons.

Tod BolsingerThurs, October 8 2020 11am (ET)

Tod is author of the innovative book Canoeing The Mountains that explores how churches must embrace adaptive change in a rapidly changing world and It Takes a Church to Raise a Christian.  Tod serves as Vice-President for Vocation and Formation and Assistant Professor of Practical Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. For seventeen years, he was the Senior Pastor of San Clemente Presbyterian Church in San Clemente, California.  Tod also serves as an executive coach for corporate, non-profit, educational and church organizations in transformational leadership. Tod and his wife, Beth, have two young-adult children.

Lisa Sharon HarperThurs, November 12 11am (ET)

Lisa Sharon Harper leads trainings that increase clergy and community leaders’ capacity to organize people of faith toward a just world. A prolific speaker, writer and activist, Ms. Harper is the founder and president of FreedomRoad.us. Ms. Harper is the author of several books, including The Very Good Gospel. A columnist at Sojourners Magazine and an Auburn Theological Seminary Senior Fellow, Ms. Harper has appeared on TVOne, FoxNews Online, NPR, and Al Jazeera America.

What is Church Now Conversations?

Church Now Conversations are interactive webinars taught by some of the best Christian thinkers in N.A. as they discuss their perspective on how the church can best live into her unique calling in unusual times.

Where is Church Now Conversations?

Each webinar will be hosted online using ZOOM. You may register at no cost any time prior to the webinar then log in 5 minutes prior to the scheduled gathering. Once registered, we will email you a link to connect to the conversation.

When are the Church Now Conversations?

The second Thursday of every month June-December, 2020 beginning at 11 a.m. ET. During the first hour there will be an engaging interactive presentation. An optional second hour allows participants to join in smaller cohorts to discuss the content of the presentation.
